Full-blooded Potter
It's been 12 years since Harry Potter first whizzed into our childhood imagination and eight years since Daniel Radcliffe fleshed him out.

Mickey magic
At 81, he is still one of the hippest characters on the planet. Children of all ages perk up whenever they hear his name or see his pair of big round ears. He is the symbol of a capitalist entertainment empire that is now one of the pillars of Hong Kong's tourism industry and which stands poised to conquer one of the great heartlands of its ideological adversary, China.

Thriller from past
Planned as a celebration of Michael Jackson's 50th birthday, Motown's three-CD album is now a tribute to the King of Pop. The album introduces 50 songs the star sang when he made his Jackson 5 debut, and includes classics such as I Want You Back and Never Can Say Goodbye.

Stars go unplugged for mega festival
The summer has just gotten hotter for music fans: they are in for an unprecedented acoustic treat as part of the Mega-event Summer Pop - Live at the Asia World Arena from 3 to 11pm on August 15 and 16.

Purrfect picture
Paul koh's paintings are sure to put a smile on your face. Cats with ear-to-ear grins add a light-hearted touch to each of the acrylics in his CatmaSutra series, so named because it is meant to depict the different positions and attitudes of his signature animal.

Full of brass
Enjoy a live classical music performance without going to the concert hall. Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Swire Island East (Tel: 3607-2331) are introducing Music That Moves: The Brass Experience. Led by trumpet master James Thompson, the ensemble will perform famous pieces. The performers will also share anecdotes about their instruments.
